Field Day

Today was Field Day at school. The kids had a beautiful day to be outside and play, and they had a wonderful time doing their different activities. It was fun just to stand out there and watch. Jacob won several ribbons including first place for the softball throw, first place for obstacle course team, second place for the 100 yard dash and third place for the 50 yard dash. The children competed against the other students in their grade level, so he did pretty well. Matthew was content to come out and swing for a while. All the children in the school received a green participation ribbon, so no one felt left out. I was outside for part of the day and was able to see Jacob compete in several of the games. It was hard to get back in the swing of going back to work since I had a week and a half off, but knowing that there are only 3 1/2 more days of school made it really nice! I am looking as forward to summer break as any kid could be :)
