Red Ribbon Week

We really enjoyed our view of the fall colors at our house.  This is not the best picture...it was taken with my phone and some of the leaves had already fallen, but it gives you an idea.

Red Ribbon Week began Monday, October 22nd, with "Wear Red Day".
Jacob was red from head to toe...he had on red baseball socks, pants, short sleeve shirt and hoodie.  He also wore two red armbands!
Tuesday was "Camo Day"...Matthew was not really cooperating with the pictures!
Jacob got to wear all of his camo from his birthday.  He had on camo boots, pants, long sleeve and short sleeve shirt and a cap.  :)
Wednesday was "Wear your favorite team shirt and cap day".  Matthew didn't have much in the way of sports attire in his closet, except for this retro Texas Rangers/Nolan Ryan shirt.
Jacob wanted to wear his Reds shirt and cap from the spring ball season.
Thursday was "Pajama Day".  Matthew had to miss this day because he had another doctor's appointment.  I believe Matthew has tried to take it upon himself to try to pay the salaries of most of the GGC staff.  I'm sure hoping he gets better and stays better, but I am fairly certain we will be looking at ear tube surgery once we head back to the ENT doctor.
Friday was "Crazy Hair Day".  Matthew's hair is too short to be very crazy, and he wasn't feeling well enough to participate anyway.

I guess I will also mention now that we celebrated all of our October birthdays as well.  On October 4th, Jason and my brother turned 37.  We went out with Mom, Dad, Jeromy, Christie and Michael to Cracker Barrel.  (Ashlee and Andrew were on their honeymoon.)  On that following Sunday, we had all of them over to our house so that we could celebrate with the newlyweds as well.  We had chili, potato soup and homemade pimento cheese!  Dad's birthday was on October 14th.  The following day, we went to Ashlee and Andrew's for dinner.  Their little home was fixed up so cute and we enjoyed our first meal with them.  :)  Mom's birthday was the 29th.  Jeromy and Christie had us all over to their house for steaks, salad and potatoes!  We definitely love to eat!!  :)
