Baseball Trophy Night

Baseball Trophy Night was June 24th. We just stayed long enough for Jacob to get his trophy and then we headed out. We went up to the greenhouse and ate supper and watched the fireworks from there. We got to enjoy seeing all the pretty fireworks without all the noise! :) And, we didn't have to worry about getting out in all that traffic.

Part of the Cubs of 2011 ~ We were missing four players and a coach. Jacob was NOT loving his purple trophy. He gave it to me immediately after he got it and told me I would have to carry it! I didn't think he was even going to add it to his trophy collection.
Coach Jason (or Dad) and the Cubs third baseman.

Unfortunately, we did not have a stellar season this year. There were SO many games that we lost just by a little. The boys finally pulled out a victory in the tournament and were SO proud. This was Jacob's last year in pitching machine league...next year he moves on up to live arm! YIKES!!

Colby was irked that the trophy was purple too!!!! That's funny, but the kids are right. It makes no sense and the last several years for basketball and baseball have been red or blue. Must have been on sale! LOL!

Yikes! I can see where a purple trophy wouldn't be cool! :)

Funny...but he looks proud in the picture at least.

We hated to miss trophy night, but we had church. Tell Jason "Thanks for a great season!"
