Happy Birthday, Matthew!

It sure does not seem that this has been that long ago, but...

Matthew Travis turned 15...yes, FIFTEEN!!!...on Saturday, February 23.  He "really" enjoyed celebrating all weekend!  On Friday, his teachers has some little snacks for him as well as a little goodie bag.  That night, I had to run to BG to pick up a few items for his birthday, so Matthew got to eat from one of his favorite places...Sonic!  On his actual birthday, we took him to Cracker Barrel, and he LOVED it!  Here are a few pictures we took before we headed out...

My dear husband needs a lesson in photography.  EVERY picture he takes ends up blurry.  Not that you can really tell, but this is me and the birthday boy.

We tried again...and it was blurry...again.

On Sunday, we had a "little" birthday dinner at home.  We only invited our immediate family and it was the first time we hadn't had at least a few of our family friends over for his birthday.  :(  It was also the first time Matthew didn't have a decorated cake.  I just made him a yellow cake with chocolate icing.  And since I'm on a roll...it was also the first time that we only had ONE piece of cake left!  Ha...homemade is the way to go!  :)

Matthew asked ALL weekend to "open".  Every time he would hear the word birthday, he would say, "open".  Haha!

Finally digging in!  I just let him do it himself....

He got some wrestling men, clothes, magazines, books, money, movies, a jar of Cracker Barrel fried apples and "several" Cracker Barrel gift cards!

He loved this little set of books from Ashlee and Andrew...

Watching his new wrestling video.  He was so tired, but it took him FOREVER to go to sleep that night!

Sweet baby Mason came over for his very first visit to Uncle Jason and Aunt Natalie's house.  Truth be told, Matthew gave him some pretty serious looks...I think he was making sure he didn't get any of his presents or food.  ;)
