Halloween 2011

On Friday, October 28th, Matthew's school had crazy clothes day for Red Ribbon Week. He wore a bright orange pair of sweats, a big bright blue t-shirt of his daddy's, and Jacob's bright yellow baseball socks pulled up over his pant legs. In this picture he looks like he is a little concerned about my sense of fashion style. :)

BUT...Matthew was so very excited and I think he thought it was Halloween, because not only had I dressed his so crazy, he also saw this running around in our house...
Kyrock chose to have their Halloween parties on the Friday before Halloween, so Jacob got to wear his costume a little early. He decided last Halloween that he wanted to be a ninja this year, so that is what he was. I visited at school for a bit, and there were so many great costumes! Here is Jacob and one of his, um, buddies.
Then on Halloween morning, Matthew got to dress up in his costume...COOKIE MONSTER.

The hat lasted long enough for me to take two pictures and then it tossed! Someone was really proud of his costume...

He was also the classroom winner of the costume contest! This picture had to be included just for fun....Cookie is coming to get you...

That afternoon, Jacob dressed up again and we headed out to trick-or-treat. He was really excited and especially so about getting to carry a REAL sword! (Real, but NOT sharp!)

Matthew in the car and ready to get some CANDY!

Jacob and Jason

Me and my littlest spook...it was kind of a bittersweet Halloween knowing I won't have many more times to trick-or-treat with a little goblin of my own. Jacob was already afraid he was too big this time.

And I just had to include this picture of the sweetest pumpkin I saw all night!

And of course my ninja and Luigi. :)

Matthew had the right idea...let the people bring the goods to me! It is just too hard on Matthew, and Jason and I, to get him out of the car to trick-or-treat, but most everyone would either come out to see him or send him candy by Jacob, so he had a big stash of goodies too!
